About Us

IQ and Reasoning Academy is a team of expert 11+ tutors based in India. Our journey began in 2020 when we prepared our very first student for the 7+ entrance exam. With our unique, technique- driven teaching approach, he secured admission to St. Paul’s—one of London’s most prestigious schools.

Since then, we have grown steadily through word of mouth and referrals, expanding our expertise to cover 11+, 13+ and GCSE entrance preparation. Our small yet highly skilled team specializes in their respective domains, ensuring that every child receives personalized, high-quality guidance. We have helped kids pass super selective exams of grammar schools such as Henrietta Barnett, QE, Latymer, Sutton, Tiffin, Kent, Bexley, Trafford and Medway, along with independent schools such as St Paul’s, Westminster, City of London, Godolphin and Latymer and Wimbledon High.

We do not limit ourselves to academic training! We also conduct training of fun and brain boosting activities such as Rubik’s cube, Chess and Critical thinking, ensuring a comprehensive all round learning experience for your child. All our teachers are professional and highly ranked in their respective fields making it easier to drive improvements and results in our students.

Our Beginnings

Neeta Khilnani Upponi founded the IQ and Reasoning Academy during the challenging Covid time. Kids were confined to their homes and parents were on the lookout of activities to engage them.

“This is also the time I started making activity worksheets for my 5- year-old son. Most of the activity books in the market were filled with the run of the mill join the dots and colouring activities.

I wanted to expose him to more challenging questions which is why I started designing them on my own. He eventually loved doing those and this encouraged me to publish those activities as a book so that it could reach out to more children. One thing led to the other and I started taking online IQ and critical thinking workshops for kids – the e- learning space was exploding during that time!”

“After one of my IQ workshops, a parent of the student who was taking the IQ lessons, reached out to me requesting me to teach reasoning to her son. She mentioned that he needs to give the 7+ exam to gain admission in St. Pauls’ – London’s top school. She gave me all the information, resources, and explained the entire examination process, competition and relevance which gave me a great insight into the 7+ and 8+ exams in London.

I trained the child for 1.5 years and he cleared reasoning with top marks! He successfully secured a place in St. Paul’s and thus began my journey of training for 7+ and 8+ exams. Our teaching standards gained word of mouth publicity and we began training kids for 11+ in 2023.

We are now a full-service 11+ online training centre with specialist teachers catering to specific needs of the 11+.”
